Cock 'n Bull Night!

Saturday, Feb 6
YOU are invited to drink
dance
sing
play pool
and make out with Joe (who's hot)
at everybody's favourite pub
the Cock 'n Bull!

(if you are Joe, you may make out with me as compensation for being unable to make out with yourself)

The show starts at 8:00pm. If this is too early for people, let me know and we'll do 9:00 instead.

I write my first exam tomorrow morning, for which I'm cramming tonight. I'm thinking that I'm definitely going to need to unwind tomorrow night. I kinda want to see The Last Samurai. Anybody else in? We could go to an earlier show and go out for Denny's afterwards. Comon'. You know you want to.

I'm wondering if we're still doing the whole "Cast of Buffy" thing. I've heard both sides, and I'm flexible. I just want to know if I can get a haircut or I should hold off.

Don't know if anybody's gonna read this, but I'm thinking we should go out tonight. Cock N' Bull or Darcy's or something. I'm off to work today, but I'll be calling around this afternoon.

I'm gonna try to contact people personally, but in case I can't get ahold of you...

I've gotta cancel tonight's shindig. I think I got Janine's cold from kissing her last weekend (tequila always causes bad things, even when you're not the one doing the drinking). I feel craptacular and not up to having people over tonight or going out myself.

I've gotta go to the Depot to get some photocopies done today, though, so I'll leave the $2 coupons with Erica just in case you go anyway.

Bleh. Stupid sickness. I'm renting a movie.

Okay, so, Chinese Fondue party has been more appropriately renamed the Pizza party because I'm feeling laaaaazzzzzzy!

Anyway, this Saturday, my house, at 7:30 or so. Bring money for pizza, and we'll order from here. Afterwards we're going to head over to Saunder's Farm, which, if you haven't been before, is actually really fun!

RSVP please, because I'm not sure how many people are going to be able to make it!

Just want to make sure we're all on for Pirates of the Carribean tonight. I'm thinking 7:20 show at the Coliseum (for those of you with passes left over). AMC has the same show time. Later show: 10:20 at Col and 10:15 at AMC.

Meet at Coliseum at 7:00? Any problems let me know and changes will be made.

Shoes
Sandals
Boots
Flashlight

Uh, so, I've forgotten to post that personal list thingie, and will do so tonight. I'm a delinquent. Sorry.

That's the bad news.

The good news is that the weather looks great! (well, except for Friday, but it's still not that bad).

JOSH!

CANCEL YOUR CAMPSITE!!!

We have two sites, but 227 is the one that needs to be cancelled and you're the only one who can do it 'coz your name's on the credit card and the site reservation. Luckily my name is on the campsite that we want to keep.

CANCEL CAMPSITE 227!!!

(cancel any other campsite and suffer an untimely death--I'm not even going to tell you the number of the other one)

You can't cancel on the website, you have to call 1-888-668-7275 and do it that way. They'll charge you a $6 cancellation fee which we will pay. Promise. Stamped-it-no-erasies.

Thanks!

Went shopping with Graham yesterday, and bought a few things...a bathing suit that I'm still not sure about, a wooden trivet with holes in it to put on top of Tatsuki's bowl to keep him from jumping out, and a cute t-shirt from Old Navy that has sparkles on it. I can't stop looking at my chest.

Anyway. We figured that since everybody's working this week, we'd take care of buying the spare equipment that we need as well as the food. We'll do both on Thursday night, if anyone's interested in coming. If you want or really hate anything in particular, food-related or otherwise, please reply to this message and let us know. Otherwise, bring it yo' self, yo!

Someone mentioned getting together to discuss stuff about camping this weekend. Joe, Graham, Janine? Is Friday evening good? I also haven't seen PotC yet, so if y'all'd like to do that afterwards, that'd be cool.

Ahh crap, my bad, I meant that we don't have a water cooler. Like, a tower-thingie that you can fill with water? With a tap at the bottom? Yeah, that. You have one, Graham?

To answer Graham's question, we currently have five people at the site on Friday night, and six (potentially seven with Gwen) on Saturday night. That's Graham, me, Janine, Joe and Erica on Friday, plus Dan and maybe Gwen on Saturday.

As for beds, this is what we have: mine will fit two people; if somebody wants to grab Josh's air mattress, then we have another one that'll hold two people, and Janine also has a single. So that's five, which is fine for Friday but not so good for Saturday. Graham, don't you have a mattress that'll hold two?

Somebody also has to ask Josh for his tent and pick it up, please. With his massive tent and my massive tent, we'll have more than enough room for everyone.

The Second Official Officious-looking Camp List Thingie
(aka the "Bring This Stuff" list)

Sara
  • 1 tarp
  • Nylon rope
  • Motorized air pump
  • 1 large Rubbermaid container (with lid)
  • Fireproof pots and pans
  • Bucket
  • Battery-powered lantern
  • Clothes pegs
  • Tablecloth clamps

Janine
  • Scissors
  • Hammer
  • 1 small cooler
  • 2 mixing bowls
  • Heavy duty aluminum foil
  • Oven mitts
  • Big spoon
  • Whisk
  • 2 rolls toilet paper
  • Bandages and bandage tape

Joe
  • 1 tarp
  • 1 big cooler
  • 10 garbage bags (approximately)
  • 6 dishrags
  • Flipper/spatula
  • Ladle
  • 4 large Ziploc bags
  • Newspaper
  • Bandaids
  • Cranium
  • Cards (I was gonna give this to Janine but I thought you'd kill me)

Graham
  • 1 tarp
  • Coleman stove (with propane…ideally full, and not with an IOU on it *g*)
  • Large plastic bin for dirty dishes
  • Whisk broom
  • Tongs
  • Small hatchet
  • Map
  • Battery-powered lantern

We're missing a cooler. I have no idea what to do about this one. I'll see if my sister has one but I don't think she does. Anybody else?

Cutting board, knives, BBQ lighter and tea towels we can buy at the dollar store when we go food shopping. Same goes for biodegradable soap, a plastic tablecloth, and long matches. Kindling at the campsite is way too big, but that's what the hatchet's for, so we're fine there.

About the folding camp chairs, I'm going to put those on the "bring it yourself" list. Gwen, I don't have an extra chair, but let me know if you're coming on Friday, and I'll borrow one from my sister.

I have some nice, dry hardwood, too, that's just the right size…don't let me forget to bring that.

I'll post the bring-it-yourself list as soon as I get onto my home computer this week…my e-mail's gonna be ugly.

Cheers!

Okay, so 'coz of Jeff Carol, we're still going camping, which is good.

Is everybody okay with leaving around 1:00pm on Friday, August 22nd? We can't show up until 2:00pm anyway, if I remember correctly, 'coz they won't let us on the site. I have to work that morning anyway, so this is the best I can do.

If I don't hear anything back from y'all, I'll assume it's okay, okay? Okay!

Btw, somebody let Dan and Erica know? Dan might want to work that morning too, or something...he had some work issues that were problematic, IIRC.

Okay, so, yeah...I put this together so that we don't have to get everyone together in one place again, like last year. It might not work, but let's try anyway. It's early, but I'm going to be busy in August, so I wanted to make sure that it gets done.

I talked to Kelly and she said that I could borrow her gigantor tent. I'd forgotten that she had another one. It can hold 2 queen-sized air mattresses with room to spare, which means that 4 people can sleep in there. I don't care, so long as I get to sleep with Graham. He's so sexy!

Uhm...yeah, anything else, just reply. Mark what you can bring, and when everybody's voted I'll post a list of exactly what you need to bring. I'll post again when everybody's voted, giving out individual lists.

Because I'm just that organized.

Heheheheh...everybody needs a paranoid friend. I am your paranoid friend!

Btw, we're short on air mattresses...can anybody borrow or something?
